Embankment Gardens
- The installation is surrounded by coloured glass screens of different
thicknesses, these are strategically positioned to catch the changing
position of the sun, each screen has grasses and perennials planted
behind them whose shapes and forms are projected through the glass onto
smooth sections of the amphitheatre.
The
glass screens also act as sound buffers sheltering the viewer from the
noise pollution of the nearby road and creating a sense of enclosure.
The combination of light, water and movement provides a space for contemplation
and reflection in an otherwise hectic area of London.
